1) Each dancer is allowed to participate in a maximum of 2 recital items only.
Important Information
2) Recital Auditions will be held on 30 July 2017 and results will be released on 4 August 2017.
3) There is a $30 recital participation fee, payable on the first rehearsal, for successful auditionees (regardless of the number of items he/she is performing in).
4) Weekly rehearsals will start from 26 August 2017 (Saturday) and will be held on Saturdays and Sundays (See below for detailed information). Participants can only be absent for a maximum of 3 rehearsals, supported by valid reasons.
5) Key events that participants have to be present for:
- 1st Combined Rehearsal: 16 December 2017 (Saturday) – 5pm to 10pm
- 2nd Combined Rehearsal: 07 January 2018 (Sunday) – 5pm to 10pm
- Bump in: 19 January 2018 (Friday) – Whole day; exact timing TBC
- Show Day: 20 & 21 January 2018 (Saturday & Sunday) – Whole day
Important Information for Recital Auditions
Recital Auditions will be held on 30 July 2017 at Converge Studios.
Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the start of your designated Audition Slot(s).
You are allowed to sign up for a maximum of 2 Audition Slots and will be able to rank items based on your preference and availability. Ranked items that are out of the selected Audition Slots will be deemed invalid.
By NOT including any particular items in your ranking, you will NOT be allocated to the respective items.
Do note that while we will take dancer’s ranking preference into consideration, the final allocation is subjected to the judges’ and the management’s decision.
Example of Possible Scenarios:
1) Dancer W is available/interested in doing ANY Jazz and/or Contemporary item (Item B, C, or D).
- Dancer W should only sign up and attend the Audition Slot starting at 1pm.
- In the next section, rank Item B, C, or D as per personal preference/availability.
- Any ranked item that is NOT Item B, C, or D will be ignored.
2) Dancer X is only available/interested in doing the Jazz item (Item B).
- Dancer X should only sign up and attend the Audition Slot at 1pm.
- In the next section, rank Item B as the only choice.
- Failing the audition for Item B means not being involved in this recital.
3) Dancer Y is available/interested in doing items that falls under 2 Audition Slots
- Dancer Y should sign up and attend both Audition Slots.
- Rank the items according to as per personal preference/availability.
- In the case where Dancer Y chooses to participate in 2 items, it is possible that he or she might be allocated 1 item from each of the Audition Slots or 2 items from the same Audition Slot.

*For those who are unable to attend the auditions, please email recital@convergestudios.sg with reasons and supporting documents. Each appeal will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and appropriate instructions would be given to ensure fairness in the audition process.
