Poca

Poca began dancing at 7, but her journey truly took flight in 2004 when she joined L.A. Dance Connection, where she completed a one-year intensive Scholarship Programme in 2006 and Apprenticeship Programme in 2007, training in various styles including Jazz, Funk and Salsa under the direction of Lionel Araya (Los Angeles).

 

As a performer, Poca has been heavily involved in many commercial works such as “National Gallery Opening Festival 2015”, “Starhub TVB Awards”, “Asia’s Got Talent 2015”, “Great World Cabaret” Musical and numerous other events by Mediacorp. She has also had the luxury of working with international choreographers such as Yanis Marshall (FRA), and Jillian Meyers, Will Johnston, Tony Tzar and Andye J (USA).

 

Poca travels frequently to the States to further her skills, and has worked with top choreographers such as Tricia Miranda, Gigi Torres and Nico OÇonnor, and trained at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, Millennium Dance Complex and Edge Performing Arts Center.

 

As a passionate learner and educator, Poca continues to strive for betterment as a dancer and teacher to help develop the next generation of dancers and assist them in achieving their goals.
